We have been learning and teaching our children that the world's largest armed forces have been the heroes till now and have been successfully managing our borders and winning innumerable wars against our enemies since Independence. Our borders are certainly safe but unfortunately the enemy is very much present inside - in so many forms - do you want to see them? OK here goes
- a political system which has got outdated, rusted, tarnished over the past 65 years and badly needs a complete overalling immediately. The laws are completely lopsided, full of loops, NOT AT ALL conforming to the present scenario of the country and that is sadly supporting the government in a weak, tired and battered manner.
- A group of the most unwanted, corrupt and undeserving people coming into power. Hence the entire system is completely corrupt.
- Concentration of wealth, power and force in few uncouth and unethical hands
- Complete lack of basic facilities for the citizens such as - food, clothers, shelter, education, infrastructure such as roads, electricity, water, hygiene.
- The forces (army, navy, air force, police), government officials are paid extremely pathetically resulting in their looking at alternate (read unethical ) income to sustain themselves .
- Schools across the country lack even the bare minimum - roofs of classrooms, walls are broken, no toilets, some schools even operate in the open irrespective of the weather conditions with so called teachers who may not have studied even till the classes they are taking.
- Complete run down of the agricultural systems with the age old autocratic rule of the village panchayats, thakurs who are busy grabbing the last morsels from the mouths of the poorest who have not probably eaten in the last few days.
What will a handful of NSG commados and some truck loads of police do here? Nothing.
Do any of you have solutions to any of these problems?
You know whay I am asking ? Because WE have to know protect our country - not some commado groups, we have to devise solutions, sort out pertinent issues, and make sure they are implemented completely.
We have to realise that depending on our government will not yield any results, nor will blaming them be of any use. ITS TIME WE TOOK COLLECTIVE ACTION.
I have thought of solutions to all the above problems. I want to know all of yours as well.
Pl write back with your comments - we would be sending them to the media to highlight them across the country.
